Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Senior Projects Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department. You will assist the Senior Project Engineer/Project Engineer with the execution of the capital projects portfolio with focus on field engineering. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
Gather, analyse historical data and perform first principles’ calculations in support of project estimates development, preparation and submission of Application for Expenditures requests;
Perform first principles calculations to support schedule development;
Assist construction supervisors with management of construction activities, monitor daily progress, coordinate activities and resolve conflicts. Assist construction supervisors in ensuring and adhering to all construction health, safety, security and environmental policies and comply with all applicable legal regulations;
Contribute and maintain accurate records of project progress;
Provide input and support to the construction team during the execution including on‑site field supervision;
Assist with daily reporting, and data entry;
Continually strive for improvements in current operational efficiencies.
What You Need to Succeed
Projects Engineer Co‑op Student in civil, electrical or mechanical engineering;
Previous experience in civil or mechanical construction would be considered an asset;
Experience with AutoCAD is an asset;
Ability to work effectively in a team setting;
Strong written and communication skills;
Valid driver’s license;
Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.

Compensation Statement
In accordance with applicable legislation, the expected compensation includes base salary and potential bonus opportunity. Your individual pay will reflect your skills and experience while remaining competitive within the local market.
