Technician​/Technologist

Location: Hacketts Cove

We have a position for an Electronic Technician to join our Test team. The successful candidate can look forward to a variety of challenges including:

Testing and troubleshooting of AM / FM transmitters & associated equipment

Testing and troubleshooting field returns, as well as researching information on product systems, subsystems etc. as necessary

Maintaining and/or establishing troubleshooting and repair/retest info for future reference

Working with Customer Service and Engineering to resolve issues

Working as integral part of test room/customer service team Working to meet standard for Customer Service repair turn-around times

Qualifications

Candidates should:

As a minimum, have a technical college diploma as an Electronic Engineering Technician/Technologist and ideally, have experience in:

Working with high voltages (208V- 480V)
Working with analog, digital, and power electronic circuits and systems

Working with RF systems (MF, HF, VHF)
Using electronic test equipment

Testing and troubleshooting to the component level

Functional Tasks will include:
Gripping, grasping, pinching, fine finger movement, both hands;
Pushing;
Reaching, elbow & wrist flexion;
Twisting;
Shoulder and neck flexion;
Walking, standing, sitting, squatting;
Climbing and working from ladders;
Movement of goods;
Some writing and keyboard use;
Lifting up to 25kg;
Pushing & pulling force >25kg.

You should also:

Have the ability to work on your own initiative and also operate well within a team environment

Be able to demonstrate proven communication skills and a willingness to learn and work across different areas of responsibility

Be able to troubleshoot and provide solutions to problems

Be willing to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities
