Position: Focused Intervention Teacher (Competition #T2526-0083)
Location: Central Alberta (Stettler)

Bentley School is seeking a dynamic, student-centered educator to join our team in a temporary position for the remainder of the school year. This position has been created following the recent release of targeted funding to support the development of a small, focused intervention team dedicated to improving student outcomes in Kindergarten through Grade 5.
The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and facilitating intervention programming based on school-wide data. Working collaboratively with classroom teachers, two support staff members, and school administration, this educator will design and deliver targeted supports that address specific literacy and numeracy gaps while supporting diverse student needs.

Assignment:
Full-time 1.0 FTE Interim teaching position
Duties to commence as soon as possible and will continue for the remainder of the 2025/2026 school year
Develop and implement targeted intervention programming for students in Kindergarten to Grade 5
Collaborate closely with teaching and support staff to design and deliver focused supports
Utilize student data to identify learning gaps and monitor progress
Work alongside administration to ensure alignment with school goals and improvement plans
Provide flexible, responsive instruction tailored to individual academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
Support progress monitoring and communicate outcomes with the school team

Qualifications:

Background and experience in Division I (K-Grade
3) education (preferred)

Experience with literacy and numeracy interventions would be considered an asset
Strong skills in assessment, evaluation, and progress monitoring
Ability to use varied instructional strategies to meet a wide range of learning needs
Experience supporting diverse learners (academic, behavioral, and social-emotional)
Strong planning, organization, and classroom management skills
Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills
Experience in collaborative planning and/or team teaching
Strong technology skills and understanding of 21st Century Learning
Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic learning environment
Commitment to ongoing professional growth
