The starting annual salary for this full-time School Teacher position ranges from $61,838 to $108,458, with placement on the July 1, 2024 Teacher Salary Grid based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.

Job Summary & Responsibilities     École Margaret Stenersen Elementary is a dual track French Immersion and English school and are proud to offer many learning and extra-curricular opportunities for our students.
If there are teacher absences prior to March 30, 2026, the successful applicant is the priority TTOC . The position start date is subject to change.

Education & Experience
Elementary teacher training with major/minor in French
Major practicum work in French Immersion at the Primary level
Experience teaching French Immersion at the Primary level
Eligible for B.C. Certification
Satisfactory teacher evaluation and/or final practicum reports
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to demonstrate fluency in written and spoken French, plus a good working knowledge of English
Ability to demonstrate thorough knowledge of the French Immersion elementary program
Ability to demonstrate thorough knowledge and recent experience with a balanced literacy program including guided reading and assessment
