Shift and HoursFull‑Time;
Days, Early Mornings, Mornings, Evenings, Nights, On Call, Weekends. 30 to 40 hours per week with variable shifts.
Fee-for-service
CompensationCompensation is fee‑for‑service as per the Doctors Manitoba and Manitoba Health, Seniors and Active Living negotiated rates. Benefits are not provided, but may be purchased at candidate's discretion.
Position SummarySwan River Valley Health Centre is a 52‑bed acute care facility;
Swan Valley Lodge is a 70‑bed long‑term care facility;
Swan River Valley Personal Care Home is a 45‑bed long‑term care facility; and Benito Health Centre is a 20‑bed long‑term care facility. Services offered include Public Health, Mental Health, Addictions Medicine, Home Care, Emergency, Diagnostics, Chemotherapy, Dialysis, Telehealth, Rehabilitation, Respiratory Therapy, and itinerant Surgical. Prairie Mountain Health is seeking a Family Physician to join the Swan Valley Primary Care Centre.
Duties include performing all duties associated with a family practice, diagnosing and treating diseases, physiological disorders and injuries, acting as the primary care provider and providing continuous care toward management of patients’ health. The physician will also share in the Emergency Department on‑call schedule and coordinate coverage with other physician colleagues.

Credentials- Hold a Doctor of Medicine degree
- Current licensure or eligible for full license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba
- Must be a member of CMPA or provide proof of equivalent malpractice insurance
- Ability to respect and promote culturally diverse population required
- Demonstrated ability to meet physical and mental demands of the job
- Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality (paper, electronic formats and other mediums)
- Good work and attendance record
Family Physician
Security and Safety- Complete and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check and Child Abuse Registry Check, as appropriate.
