We're seeking a dedicated, motivated, and skilled Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) to join our growing team!
As a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA), you will play a crucial role in supporting the dentist during patient procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment. We are looking for someone with excellent technical skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for helping others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures, including exams, cleanings, fillings, and extractions.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control standards.
- Take x-rays and photos for patients.
- Manage patient records and update information as necessary.
- Provide chair side support, including patient education on post-procedure care.
- Maintain accurate documentation for patient charts.
- Help manage inventory of dental supplies and equipment.
- Ensure the dental office is clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Assist in front-office duties as needed (e.g., scheduling, patient intake).
Qualifications:
- Current certification (or willingness to attain certification) as a Dental Assistant (CDA) in British Columbia is required.
- Knowledge of dental instruments, terminology, and sterilization techniques.
- Proficiency in taking dental X-rays (radiology certification).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous dental office experience is preferred.
