The Project Coordinator is a dynamic and multi-functional individual who provides various project-related functions, supporting innovative, flawless project execution. This position is responsible for coordinating the efforts of accurate project status reports, costs, change orders, schedule, planning, progress payments and invoicing, procurement, RFIs, and project administrative support.
Excellent interpersonal skills are required to interact with various internal and external stakeholders, including Project Management, Construction Management, Contract Management, Sales, Estimating, and Subcontractor teams.
This office-based role may require periodic travel to various projects sites, engineering offices, and vendors. On occasion, work outside of non-standard business hours will be needed to support the Sales, Project, and Construction Teams.
The position pays $75k annually (negotiable based on experience).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
a. Understand project scope and client expectations.
b. Stewardship of contractual obligations related to estimates and change management.
c. Monitor actual costs against estimated costs to verify estimate compliance.
d. Ability to review and understand contractual documents.
e. Assess Subcontractor and vendor estimates for accuracy, competency, and productivity.
f. Review and communicate cost and schedule impact of change notifications.
g. Schedule and document meetings with clients and internal stakeholders.
h. Provide administrative support as the need arises to project team(s).
i. Prepare budgets and schedules, including coordinating sub-trade invitations and estimates, preparing contract documents and schedules.
REQUIREMENTS:
-Proficient knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Microsoft Project
-Ability to prioritize, coordinate, and manage multiple activities and projects concurrently
-Ability to review and comprehend blueprints, contract documents, estimates, and project reports
-Builder Trend software skills
-Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
-High level of professional communication (written and verbal) skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail
-A minimum of 5+ years of Project Coordination experience
-Relevant post-secondary education or relevant combination of education and experience
-PMP or other valid Project Management Professional certification
