Bookkeeper

Location: Thornhill

We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis in Thornhill, Ontario. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining records, and supporting various accounting tasks to ensure smooth operations. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit invoices with required documentation to support customer e-billing processes.

• Monitor and ensure the accurate integration of dispatching systems into Quick Books, resolving any discrepancies.

• Investigate and address accounting variances between carrier invoices and system entries.

• Record and process payments, including credit card transactions and direct deposits, in Quick Books promptly and accurately.

• Collect and deposit cheques daily, applying payments to accounts in Quick Books.

• Organize and execute weekly Accounts Payable payments, ensuring they are prepared in advance.

• Manage Quick Pay payments to secure applicable discounts and maintain financial efficiency.

• Follow up on outstanding carrier invoices to support month-end close procedures and financial reporting.

• Perform Accounts Receivable collections and provide regular AR status updates and reports.

• Maintain detailed and organized accounting files while assisting with financial reporting and administrative duties as needed.
