Quality Representative

Perma-Pipe, Camrose, AB – Quality Control (QC) Representative

We’re looking for a Quality Control (QC) Representative to be a part of our growing Canadian (AB & ON) business. The QC Representative is responsible for direct examination of product to ensure that quality standards and procedures are met and aligned with legislation and customer specifications. They strictly adhere to the organization’s quality assurance policies and identify defects or production errors to prevent materials from entering the supply chain.

Other duties may be assigned as necessary. The role is situated in Camrose, AB and is not a remote or hybrid position.

• Inspect production material for defects as trained.
• Remove defective items from production and designate reason for removal.
• Report defects to the appropriate manager.
• Perform internal QA audits compliant with corporate policies, practices, and procedures.
• Assist with maintenance of QA monitoring programs, including audits, controls, and other qualifiers.
• Comply with Company QA programs for monitoring supplier quality.
• Promote and advocate quality achievement and performance improvement across the organization.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with local, national, and international standards and legislation.
• Adopt and incorporate quality methods into work.
• Create and maintain QA control documentation.
• Inspect bare and coated pipe and coating process.
• Create return-from-field reports.
• Place pipe on hold and release in the computer system when relevant paperwork is received.
• Organize corrective and preventative action & non-conformance records.
• Enter pipe cuts in computer.
• Train personnel in quality procedures.
• Assist in internal audits.

• Knowledge of Quality Assurance and Control principles.
• Understanding of WHMIS and health and safety practices and procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, etc).
• Strong communication skills under pressure.
• Ability to communicate work instructions to others.
• Ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve quality-related problems.
• Organized and capable of multi‑tasking.

• Manage diverse daily challenges and make effective decisions under pressure.
• Handle conflict, resolve issues, and interact professionally with personnel at all levels.

• Regular movement between office areas, shop floors, yard environments, and uneven outdoor surfaces.
• Exposure to industrial noise, heat, dust, and equipment activity.
