Job DescriptionAs a Healthcare Security Officer at Admiral Investigations, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe environment in healthcare facilities. You will be responsible for protecting patients, staff, and visitors within the hospital setting, ensuring that the healthcare environment remains secure and calm. This position is ideal for individuals who want to make a meaningful impact on the well‑being of others while contributing to a vital service in the healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities- Patrolling Healthcare Facilities: Conduct routine patrols inside and outside the hospital to ensure the safety of people and property and the maintenance of order.
- Patient & Staff Protection: Safeguard the well‑being of patients, public, and hospital staff by monitoring activities and intervening when necessary.
- Patient Observation: Monitor patients' behavior and movements to ensure their safety, especially those at risk of self‑harm, aggression, or wandering.
- Access Control: Monitor and control access to healthcare facilities to ensure that only authorized individuals are allowed entry, particularly in sensitive areas.
- Emergency Response: Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations, such as medical crises, security breaches, or fires, ensuring a swift resolution.
- Crisis Management: Intervene during emergency or crisis situations, such as patient or visitor conflicts, de‑escalating issues in a professional and calm manner.
- Surveillance: Utilize surveillance equipment to detect and prevent incidents or criminal activity, maintaining a proactive security presence.
- Report Writing: Create detailed reports of incidents and security‑related activities, ensuring proper documentation.
- Collaboration with Healthcare Teams: Work closely with medical staff, hospital administration, and local law enforcement to ensure patient and staff safety.
- Enforce Hospital Policies: Ensure that hospital policies, including visitor and patient protocols, are followed. Address any violations in a manner that upholds hospital safety standards.

Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Healthcare in an acute care hospital or similar healthcare environment. - License: No prior license required – we assist with the security guard license application process.
- Certifications: First Aid, CPR, AED, and Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention certification (must be obtained upon hire if not already certified).
- Bilingualism: English and French language skills are a significant asset, especially in a healthcare setting.

Ability to identify potential threats to security and patient safety with keen attention to detail. - Professionalism: A calm, professional demeanor and the ability to handle sensitive healthcare situations effectively and with discretion.
- Driver’s License: A valid New Brunswick driver’s license is preferred.
Shifts: 8-12-hour rotating shifts (days, nights, weekends, and holidays).
