Job Description

Professional level retail parts pro for a DIY business. Full‑time position with advanced automotive and parts knowledge. Responsible for sales, customer service, inventory, and store appearance.

• Provide DIY parts selling experience for customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives.
• Manage DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and store appearance.
• Key holder duties – task assignment, safety, open/close.

• Assist in store inventory processes – truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, back stock.
• Maintain store cleanliness – floors, bathrooms, dusting, parking lot.
• Provide DIY services such as battery installment, testing, wiper installs.

• Friendly communication.
• Ability to locate and stock parts.
• Safety knowledge and skills.
• Operating inventory systems and store equipment.
• Parts and automotive system knowledge skills.
• Operating POS and parts lookup systems.
• Expert at testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY services.
• ASE P2 certified or equivalent.
• Advanced solution, project and product recommendation ability.
• Advanced parts lookup and sourcing.
• Advanced selling skills for DIY.

• Working knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic ability.
• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus).
• Interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, parts catalogs.
• Follow written, oral, or diagram instructions.
• Complete Parts Knowledge Assessment.
• Basic math proficiency.
• Use Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Work days, evenings, weekends as needed.

• 3–5 years automotive parts experience.
• Proven sales ability in fulfillment of customer transactions.

• Valid driver’s license required.
• ASE certification preferred.

Routine tasks include standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and manual handling.
