Bayhealth, Inc. – Per Diem Certified Home Health Aide

Bayhealth, Inc. is hiring a Per Diem Certified Home Health Aide. Responsibilities include providing personal care services, observing patients, and documenting care.

$30.00/hr – $33.00/hr (actual pay will be based on skills and experience – discuss with recruiter)

• Provide hands‑on personal care such as bathing, oral hygiene, and changing bed linens.
• Assist patients with dressing, toileting, and skin care.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the patient’s living area.
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals, and assist in feeding if necessary.
• Take and record vital signs when ordered.
• Aid in ambulation, exercise, and range‑of‑motion exercises as directed.
• Assist with medication administration and laundry.
• Ensure patient safety and proper equipment usage.
• Report patient condition and changes to the assigned nurse.
• Collaborate as part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Adhere to organization’s documentation and care procedures, and uphold professional standards.

• Preferably registered on the Home Care Aide Registry through the Department of Social Services, Home Care Services Bureau.
• Minimum age requirement of 18.
• Proficiency in reading and following written instructions, and documenting care.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated empathy for the needs of patients.
• Current CPR certification.
• Exhibit tact, patience, and good personal hygiene.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license, insured vehicle, and good working condition.
• Strong prioritization and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent organizational, time‑management, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in communication and computer usage.
• High attention to detail.
