Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role located in Campbell, CA, for a Construction Estimator. The Construction Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, managing budgets, and collaborating with project managers and clients. The role involves analyzing project requirements, evaluating materials and labor needs, and preparing comprehensive bid proposals.
Responsibilities- Inspect residential properties for remodeling projects and insurance-related damage
- Create accurate and detailed estimates using construction software Xactimate
- Develop detailed scopes of work for kitchens, bathrooms, additions, and full-home remodels
- Estimate water, fire, smoke, and related restoration and rebuild work
- Communicate with insurance adjusters to review, submit, and estimates
- Prepare revisions, change orders and supplements as additional work is identified
- Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and mitigation teams
- Assist homeowners in understanding project scope, pricing, and timelines
- Maintain organized documentation, photos, and estimate records
- Understand Construction methods, materials and labor practices to provide effective estimates.
- Proven experience estimating residential insurance restoration projects and home remodels
- Experience working with insurance carriers and adjusters
- Knowledge of water and fire restoration processes
- Ability to read residential construction scopes and documentation
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong communication, negotiation, time-management and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to perform site inspections
- Xactimate Level 2 or 3 Certification
- Background in residential construction or restoration contracting
- Salary Range: $101,000 - $130,000
