Construction Superintendent (Residential Framing)

Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee daily residential framing jobsite operations. This is a hands‑on field leadership role intended for a senior Foreman ready to step into a Superintendent position. The role includes a structured in‑house training program focused on construction management and leadership. Training is provided while actively performing Superintendent duties and is designed to support long‑term growth—not as an entry‑level or classroom‑only position.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and lead carpenters, apprentices, and laborers
- Assign work based on skills, scope, and schedule
- Maintain productivity, accountability, and workmanship quality
- Promote a safe, professional, team‑oriented jobsite culture
- Read and interpret residential construction drawings and specifications
- Coordinate daily activities with Project Managers, subcontractors, inspectors, and GC teams
- Plan labor, materials, and equipment to meet project timelines
- Ensure work meets company standards and project requirements
- Perform routine inspections and resolve deficiencies promptly
- Manage material ordering, deliveries, storage, and usage
- Prevent delays through proactive planning and organization
- Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies
- Conduct safety meetings and jobsite inspections
- Ensure proper PPE usage and safe work practices
- Mentor apprentices and junior crew members
- Participate in the company's in‑house Superintendent training program
- Serve as the primary on‑site point of contact
- Provide daily updates, logs, and progress reports
- Communicate risks, issues, and solutions proactively
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience as a Residential Carpentry Foreman
- Strong understanding of residential framing and jobsite operations
- Proven ability to lead crews and coordinate subcontractors
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Coursework in Construction Management or Drafting
- Bilingual (Spanish / English)
- OSHA certification
