• Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years in Civil Engineering and the equivalent relevant experience in data center or mission critical facilities design.
• Experience managing hardware configuration baselines.
• Experience with Data Center Strategy, Planning, and Roadmap maintenance.
• Proficiency in building codes, regulations, and standards.

• Look at existing infrastructure and these spaces where they need to grow and add systems or approve all of the supporting devices that are there and provide recommendations for that.
• Identify and correct issues and evaluate how things are being done currently to set a better stage for the new building.
• Coordinate logistics and meet with stakeholders to understand requirements on the mission critical side; determine what is required to support all stakeholders.
• Align data with the requirements that are being supported by different deliverables already in the works and identify any gaps (e.g., someone forgot to specify a rack size, old legacy systems moving into the building). Update/alter vault sizes accordingly.
• Lead and assist with all design aspects of the CCC data center support systems, including AC/DC power, UPS, HVAC, carrier infrastructures, internal/external cable plant, and overall data center layout.
• Produce architectural artifacts such as system design diagrams, recommendation justifications, and technical specifications.
• Communicate conceptual designs and maintain project documentation before, during, and after construction.
• Create and review civil/structural/architectural design RFPs.
• Conduct site assessments, internal design meetings, and construction reviews.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define the processes and standards that govern data center activities.
• Coordinate and control access and logistic support.
• Follow data center procedures and processes.
• Manage and coordinate the installation and maintenance of data center equipment.
• Ensure compliance with data center security protocols.
