Customer Service Associate - Temporary

This role will remain open until filled.

$15.00/hr - $17.50/hr

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Register sales on the assigned cash register, and provide courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
• Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Share customer service best practices with all team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to all customers.
• Recommend items for sale and suggest trade‑up and/or companion items.
• Process purchases on the cash register, handle cash, verify payments, and manage returns, refunds, and exchanges.
• Maintain counters and shelves, keep them clean and well merchandised, take inventory, and keep accurate records.
• Check in and price merchandise as required by store manager or shift leader.
• Implement company asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages, tobacco).
• Construct and maintain promotional and seasonal displays.
• Assist with separation and placement of food items to meet safety policies.
• Manage first‑in, first‑out stock rotation for consumable items.
• Operate store systems and equipment.
• Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service and creative machine.
• Assume web pick‑up responsibilities—monitor orders, pick items, and deliver to customers as they arrive.
• Assist with interior and exterior maintenance to keep the store orderly and presentable.
• Maintain respectful relationships with coworkers and comply with all company policies.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

• Attend training sessions and complete required PPLs as requested by the Manager or designated by corporate.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.

• Preference for at least six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Preference for prior work experience with Walgreens.
