Job Description
As a Project Engineering Technician I at BLE, you will work under the supervision of a registered professional engineer. You will collaborate with site managers and engineers to perform inspections and sampling services. Your role is crucial for quality assurance in construction projects, including testing and monitoring earthwork, soil, foundation, reinforcement, concrete, masonry, and asphalt. You will also prepare detailed daily reports for the project engineer, summarizing test results and site observations.
MinimumJob Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record for 3 years.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions for extended periods.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and efficient with time.
- Proficient with smartphones and computers (MS Office).
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, stoop, lift up to 50 pounds, and work on uneven ground.
- All new technicians must obtain the Special Inspector General Requirements Certification and additional certifications within specified time frames, including Reinforced Concrete, Structural Masonry, and Soils certifications.
- Two years of construction materials inspection experience.
- Industry-certified inspector.
