Position Summary
The Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive, patient-centered care across Women’s Health, Pediatrics, and/or Internal Medicine in an ambulatory Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) setting. The Nurse Practitioner delivers high-quality primary and preventive care, chronic disease management, and health education to diverse and underserved populations, in alignment with CAMcare’s mission, HRSA requirements, and evidence-based clinical guidelines.
This role functions with a high level of clinical autonomy while collaborating closely with physicians, nursing, behavioral health, care management, and ancillary services to ensure coordinated, equitable, and culturally responsive care.

Women, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients (based on specialty and assignment)
Clinical Care & Patient Management
- Provide comprehensive primary and specialty care services within scope of licensure and certification for Women’s Health, Pediatrics, and/or Internal Medicine
- Perform complete histories, physical examinations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans
- Manage acute and chronic medical conditions, including preventive care and health maintenance
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and laboratory studies
- Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Provide prenatal, gynecologic, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric care as applicable to certification
- Deliver patient and family education emphasizing disease prevention, wellness, and self-management
- Conduct age-appropriate screenings, immunizations, and preventive services
- Address social determinants of health (SDOH) and coordinate referrals to internal and community resources
- Support population health initiatives, quality metrics, and UDS reporting requirements
- Participate in care coordination and integrated care models
- Document all patient encounters accurately and timely in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Ensure compliance with HRSA, CMS, FTCA, state licensure, and CAMcare clinical policies
- Maintain accurate coding and billing documentation to support compliance and reimbursement
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, behavioral health providers, care coordinators, and ancillary teams
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer review, and performance monitoring
- Engage in clinical meetings, case conferences, and interdisciplinary huddles
- Serve as a preceptor or mentor to students and new clinicians, as assigned
