US Cold owns and operates one of the most complex temperature-controlled logistics networks in North America. Every day, our systems coordinate the storage and movement of food at national scale across a network of state-of-the-art distribution centers, including multiple highly automated warehouse facilities.

We continue to enhance reliability and accelerate engineering productivity by strengthening our SRE and AI practices. The Software Development Manager will lead multiple offshore development teams, primarily based in Colombia. You will collaborate closely with architectural, site reliability, quality assurance, and platform teams to ensure strategic alignment and operational effectiveness. Through active participation in design sessions and code reviews, you will ensure your teams build software that aligns with US Cold's standards. You will drive delivery roadmaps, own team performance outcomes, and represent your teams across the organization.

• Establish measurable objectives and key results.
• Own roadmap execution and delivery outcomes for offshore teams.
• Monitor progress, remove delivery blockers, and eliminate risks appropriately.
• Ensure sprint commitments align with long-term architectural goals.
• Champion standards in architecture, testing, observability, and operability.
• Align offshore teams with U.S.
  
  -based architecture and product direction.
• Serve as the operational bridge between U.S. and offshore teams.
• Communicate risks, tradeoffs, and resource needs clearly to leadership.
• Drive cross-functional alignment with Architecture, Platform, QA, and Product.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of software development experience.
• 2+ years of engineering leadership experience.
• Strong experience with Java including Spring and Hibernate.
• Demonstrated record of delivering production systems at scale.
• Strong understanding of system design principles including SOLID, technical debt management, observability, and performance optimization.
• Experience defining and managing OKRs.
• Experience implementing Agile and Scrum practices in distributed teams.
• Ability to communicate technical decisions and delivery risk clearly.

• Azure or other cloud experience.
• Relational and non-relational database design and tuning.
• Logistics, warehousing, or supply chain experience.

• Both technical fluency and operational leadership.
• Strong communication across time zones and cultures.
• Operational rigor in distributed Agile environments.
• The ability to translate architecture into consistent execution.

This is not a coordination role.
