The Director of Supply Chain Management will lead the strategic execution of supply chain operations for a major Integrated Systems & Encryption division within a global aerospace and defense organization.
This leadership role is responsible for driving cost, schedule, and performance excellence across multiple U.S. sites, supporting complex defense programs in a matrixed environment. The Director will oversee supply chain strategy, procurement execution, supplier performance, talent development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
This individual will serve as the primary Supply Chain leader supporting division program leadership and executive management.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and oversee all supply chain activities across multiple division sites.
- Develop and execute long-term supply chain strategy aligned with program and division objectives.
- Manage procurement, sourcing, subcontracting, and supplier development activities.
- Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS, government regulations, and corporate policies.
- Drive cost, schedule, and technical performance improvements.
- Lead risk mitigation and “Return to Green” recovery initiatives.
- Support new business pursuits and proposal activities.
- Oversee supply chain metrics, EVM performance, and continuous improvement programs.
- Build and mentor high-performing Supply Chain Program Managers.
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, Finance, Program Management, and Executive Leadership.
- Ensure strong SAP S/4
HANA utilization and system effectiveness.
- Active Secret Security Clearance (Required)
- U.S. Citizenship (Required)
- Bachelor's Degree with 12+ years of related experience OR Master's Degree with 10+ years of related experience OR 16+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
- Experience in Aerospace & Defense supply chain management
- Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS regulations
- Experience leading cross-functional, multi-site teams
- Earned Value Management (EVM) experience
- Advanced SAP S/4
HANA experience - Proven experience leading high-performing teams
- Master's Degree or MBA
- Background in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field
- Control Account Manager (CAM) experience
- Experience managing complex subcontractor systems
- Strong analytical, communication, and executive presentation skills
