Position OverviewThe Data & Analytics department drives data-informed decision-making across all properties in the HBSE portfolio, including (but not limited to) the Philadelphia 76ers and New Jersey Devils. The Director, Pricing Analytics role will lead and develop a cross‑functional team focused on leveraging advanced analytics, data science, and innovative technologies to optimize business performance. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Data & Analytics, this position sits within the Strategy & Analytics department and plays a critical role in shaping revenue strategies and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities- Lead Pricing & Inventory Strategy
- Develop and execute ticketing‑related pricing and inventory strategies across all products.
- Build analytical tools and data science models to analyze large datasets, create custom algorithms, and drive incremental revenue.
- Revenue Optimization
- Collaborate with Ticketing and Premium Sales leadership on strategies for new business, renewals, and group sales.
- Oversee dynamic pricing operations to balance sell‑through and yield.
- Advanced Modeling & Machine Learning
- Partner with the Data Product team to design and maintain predictive models (e.g., retention, CLV, scan rate, revenue forecasts).
- Ensure models remain best‑in‑class and deliver high performance.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Engage with revenue leaders across the organization to evaluate pricing and inventory strategies to drive incremental revenue and help achieve broader business objectives.
- Innovation & AI Integration
- Leverage generative AI tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in pricing and inventory workflows.
- Executive Communication
- Prepare and deliver presentations summarizing insights, recommendations, and strategic implications for senior executives and HBSE managing partners.
- 5+ years of experience in business strategy and analytics, preferably in a multi‑stakeholder environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Proven expertise in complex modeling and advanced analytical methodologies.
- Strong track record of driving measurable results in dynamic, uncertain environments.
- Technical proficiency in:
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Copilot)
- Statistical & Programming Tools (R, Python)
- Cloud Database Infrastructure (SQL, Databricks, Snowflake)
- Deep knowledge of predictive modeling techniques, including regression analysis, financial forecasting, AutoML, probabilistic/stochastic models, and dynamic systems analysis.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage high‑performing teams.
- Travel Requirements:
May be required to travel occasionally, including between HBSE’s various offices. - Work Environment:
This position generally requires that work primarily be performed from the 76ers’ office in Camden, NJ.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $125,000 and $145,000/year. Base pay offered may vary…
