Vehicle Tester

Location: Hybrid – onsite 3 days a week in Camden, NJ

• Execute manual test cases on physical vehicles according to detailed test plans.
• Validate software functionality across various vehicle systems and user interfaces.
• Document test results thoroughly, including observations, screenshots, and logs.
• Identify, report, and track defects in a clear and structured manner:
• Include steps to reproduce, screenshots, severity level, and expected vs. actual results.
• Collaborate with development and Automated Testing teams to clarify issues and retest fixes.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols during in-vehicle testing.
• Maintain accurate records of test cycles and provide timely status updates.
• Participate in test plan reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes.
• Participate in Scrum events including Sprint Planning, Daily Standup, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.

• 3-5 years of experience in manual testing or QA roles.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate test vehicles safely.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex test plans.
• Experience with manual software testing and defect reporting tools (e.g., Jira, Azure Dev Ops).
• Familiarity with vehicle systems and in-vehicle infotainment or connected applications.
• Ability to capture and organize evidence (screenshots, logs) for defect reports.
• Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), QA methodologies, and Scrum framework.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Experience and enthusiasm for being on a team leveraging the Scrum framework and other Agile working techniques.
• Team-first mentality with excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Experience working with automotive software or embedded systems is a plus.
