Short Description
10K SIGN ON BONUS! Requires 2 year commitment. 4k at 90 days, 3k at 1 year, 3k at 2 years.
This job requires adherence to departmental production standards and compliance with life, fire and hazardous waste requirements, radiation safety, and infection control standards. Maintains licensure, participates in CEUs, and performs ultrasound procedures. Participates in clinical and clerical activities.
Experience RequiredGeneral, Vascular, portables; 1 year experience preferred. ARDMS eligible.
Education RequirementsAssociate Degree or Equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Sonography school or program of Sonography.
License/Certification RequirementsARDMS Certification required. Candidates must obtain ARDMS certification within six months of hire date.
Eligibility For The Six-month Grace PeriodApplicants must have successfully completed the Sonography Principles and Instrumentation (SPI) exam. Documentation of a passing grade for the SPI exam is required as a prerequisite for approval of the six-month period to obtain the ARDMS certification. Expected to acquire RVT certification within 12 months of hire date.
Additional Training
- Departmental extensions on a case-by-case basis based on job performance.
- Expected training in elastography, thyroidectomies, pediatrics (echoencephalography, hips, spines), PVRs, TCDs, GYN exams, and all vascular exams (arterial and venous duplexes, dialysis grafts, extremity mappings, carotids, abdomen venous, etc.).
Certifications and requirements may be observed as part of ongoing compliance and professional development.
