Position: CLINICAL PRACTICE SPEC

Job Summary

Responsa‑ble for performing a variety of duties in ambulatory settings—including primary, multi‑specialty, and specialty practices. The position involves both clinical and administrative tasks such as assisting providers with patient care, handling clerical, environmental, and organizational duties, and providing patients with information to fully utilize clinical services. The role requires maintaining a working knowledge of regulatory standards and ensuring daily compliance. Clinical oversight and competency review are provided by medical providers and the ambulatory professional development team in coordination with office management.

Responsibilities
  • Assist providers with patient care in various ambulatory settings.
  • Perform clerical tasks, including charting and scheduling.
  • Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
  • Provide patients with information on services and ensure optimal use of care.
  • Stay current with regulatory standards and uphold compliance in daily operations.
  • Participate in clinical direction, oversight, and competency reviews.
Experience Required
  • Minimum one year of recent healthcare experience preferred.
Preferred Evidence Of Externship Completed In a Medical Office
  • Experience with electrocardiogram (EKG), vital signs, venipuncture, capillary, and injection procedures.
Electronic Health Record Experience
  • Proficient in EHR systems.

Education Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
License/Certification Requirements
  • Graduate of a post‑secondary medical assisting education program accredited by NJAC and current certification from a recognized certifying board approved by the NJ Board of Medical Examiners.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification through the American Heart Association.
