Volunteers of America Delaware Valley is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Treatment Assistant to support our behavioral health programs. As a key member of the treatment team, you’ll assist counselors and case managers in providing supportive services, coordinating documentation, and working directly with clients on orientation, life skills, and service linkage.
This is a dynamic, hybrid role ideal for someone who values both hands-on client engagement and strong administrative organization.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct client and family intakes, support orientation, and facilitate life skills sessions
- Coordinate medical appointments and enter treatment and data tracking information
- Assist with funding source documentation and maintain organized client files
- Act as liaison for case managers and facilitate non-clinical client meetings
- Support group programs and ensure follow-through on client service referrals
- Administer drug and alcohol screens as needed (site-specific)
- Attend internal and external treatment team meetings
- Participate in staff trainings and fulfill core curriculum certification requirements
- Maintain professional boundaries and uphold confidentiality standards
- Perform additional administrative and program support tasks as assigned
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of experience with Volunteers of America or in a human services setting
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency (Excel/data entry experience preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet agency driver standards
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Bilingual fluency is a plus
- As a Treatment Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting both the structure and care at the heart of recovery programs.
