Short DescriptionThe Assistant Director of Quality Outcomes supports Cooper University Health Care’s mission by leading quality, safety, and performance improvement initiatives within the Bone and Joint Institute, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, optimizing patient outcomes through data‑driven strategies, and overseeing the Nurse Navigation team.
Responsibilities- Quality and Performance Improvement Leadership – Develop, implement, and evaluate quality and safety initiatives, using data analytics to identify trends, set benchmarks, and drive measurable improvements in patient outcomes. Lead multidisciplinary quality and safety committees to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Operational Oversight and Compliance – Ensure adherence to all regulatory and accreditation standards (TJC, CMS, DOH, OSHA, HIPAA) within the ambulatory practice environment. Monitor risk management activities, safety events, and performance metrics.
- Team Leadership and Staff Development – Directly oversee the Nurse Navigation team and other quality‑focused staff. Coach, mentor, and evaluate team members to achieve departmental goals while fostering engagement and professional growth.
- Data Management and Reporting – Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of clinical and operational data. Prepare presentations and reports for leadership, committees, and regulatory bodies, recommending evidence‑based strategies for improvement.
- Patient Care and Experience Optimization – Partner with providers, nurses, and administrative teams to standardize care processes, promote evidence‑based practice, and enhance patient satisfaction, safety, and access across all service lines.
- Strategic Planning and Collaboration – Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Practice and other Institute leadership to align departmental goals with organizational priorities, supporting long‑term quality improvement initiatives.
- Change and Communication Management – Lead proactive communication strategies to support change management, ensuring staff understanding, engagement, and alignment with institutional initiatives.
- Experience:
3 years of leadership required; 5 years preferred. - Education:
Bachelor’s degree required;
Master’s degree preferred. - License/Certification:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing;
Master’s Degree; RN with state licensure; BLS/ACLS.
