POSITION TITLE: SENIOR ASSOCIATE, FINANCIAL ANALYSIS HOME HEALTH AND HOSPICE
POSITION SUMMARY
:
Responsible for reporting and analysis functions related to an assigned group of division(s) and/or office(s) which includes supporting the respective Regional Director(s), Division Director(s) and the office Director(s). This position will also assist the Director/Manager in providing general accounting support to the organization, providing financial and analytical support, budgeting support, and ensuring accounting policies and procedures are being followed.
This is a hybrid position, requiring travel to our Global Support Center in Pennsauken, NJ, 1-3 times per month.
QUALIFICATIONS For Senior Associate, Financial Analyst
:
- Four (4) year college degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.
- Three (3) to five (5) years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior health care, home care and/or supervisory experience is a plus.
- Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) applications and ability to learn various software applications required to perform job functions.
- Understands the company’s organizational structure, financial status, and operational goals/objectives.
- Ability to work independently and accomplish tasks with limited supervision; be self-motivated, flexible, versatile and creative.
- Proven understanding of Home Health and/or Hospice business including knowledge of reimbursement model, revenue recognition, bad debt, allocations, etc.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Willingness and drive to exceed expectations; spend the time and effort necessary to complete all tasks to the highest level.
- Demonstrated record of strong interpersonal skills and of successfully taking on increased responsibility; managing multiple client requests simultaneously.
- Knowledgeable in compliance with the standard concepts, practices, and procedures of GAAP as well as other company policies and procedures.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills, attention to detail and ability to interact effectively with management and prioritize diverse projects for multiple disciplines.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES of Senior Associate, Financial Analyst
:
- Initiate and independently research complex information through compilation of statistics, analyzing data and summarizing for review.
- Manage a heavy workload and adhere to strict deadlines while providing exceptional customer service to the practices, service offices, colleagues, and others within the organization.
- Support annual audit and compliance reviews, as needed.
- Present oneself professionally and interact/build relationships with others in the organization including Responsibility Group, management, et al.
- Assist in the education and development of interns/associates on the team.
- Support Director (and others in the organization, as necessary) in any and all areas of financial analysis, routine and non-routine, including but not limited to:
- Data gathering
- Presentation of financial data and analysis, both in writing and in person, as necessary.
- Investigating variances and resolving issues
- Interpreting financial results
- Budgeting
- Providing recommendations and guidance
- Assume ownership of, and be accountable for, complex assignments.
- Participates in the development/improvement of company policies and processes.
- Assists in preparation of quarterly and annual budgeting analysis/forecasting for the organization.
- Review weekly/quarterly journal entries, including allocations and intercompany transactions, to ensure accuracy.
- Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts on a periodic basis to tie subsidiary ledgers to general ledger balances, as assigned.
- Completion of cost reports, surveys, and other third-party data requests, as required, including data gathering, data analytics and submission to the requiring organization.
- Demonstrate a healthy sense of professional skepticism; review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports. Strong attention to detail. 16. Respond to internal/external inquiries, furnishing supporting documentation where applicable.
