FULL TIME - ONSITE

River Front Recycling & Aggregate is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Estimator to support our heavy civil and site development bids. This role will assist in preparing competitive cost estimates for projects involving earthwork, utility installation, asphalt milling, paving, and infrastructure development.

The ideal candidate has strong quantitative takeoff experience and proficiency in industry-leading estimating software, with the ability to translate plans into accurate production-driven budgets.

Seeking candidates in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware.

• Perform detailed quantitative takeoffs for earthwork, grading, utilities, demolition, crushing, and aggregate scopes
• Utilize Agtek for earthwork modeling and production analysis
• Prepare takeoffs using Plan Swift and review/mark plans in Bluebeam Revu
• Assist with bid preparation using HCSS Heavy Bid and internal cost databases
• Analyze production rates for equipment, trucking, crushing, and recycling operations
• Solicit and level subcontractor and supplier quotes
• Support pricing for DOT, municipal, and private development projects
• Coordinate with operations and field supervisors to validate production assumptions
• Assist in evaluating project risks, scope gaps, and logistics challenges

• Diploma / bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field, or equivalent years of experience

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, MS Excel, and estimation software
• Plan Swift

  , and Agtek a plus
• Working knowledge of HCSS estimating platform
• Strong background in quantitative takeoffs for heavy civil construction
• Understanding of aggregate materials, recycling operations, and production-based estimating preferred

• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
• Ability to think in terms of production, equipment utilization, and material flow
• Self-motivated and eager to grow within a fast‑paced environment
• Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines
