Overview

Within the discipline for courses in Fall 2023, Winter 2024, Spring 2024, and Summer 2024, the Gender Studies program at Rutgers University-Camden invites applications for part-time lecturer positions. We seek candidates with effective teaching experience who can teach online(Canvas), on campus, and/or off-campus locations and can teach introductory and advanced courses in women's, gender, masculinities, transgender studies, and queer/LGBTQIA+ studies. The position may carry with it an opportunity to participate in campus programming planning around gender studies.

Gender Studies is a joint academic major and minor and offers courses in masculinities, queer studies, and women  studies. For information about the program see Gender Studies Program.

Qualifications

Minimum

Education and Experience:

Minimum of a Master  degree or J.D. in relevant field, Ph.D. in Gender Studies or related discipline in social sciences or humanities preferred.

Immunization Requirements:
Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Additional infection control and safety policies may apply. Prospective employees should speak with their hiring manager to determine which policies apply to the role or position for which they are applying.
