Mosaic Early Learning is seeking an experienced educational professional for the Part Time Substitute Teacher Assistant position. The Substitute Teacher Assistant assists the Head Teacher with the daily operations of planning, carrying out classroom activities and maintaining the classroom environment. The Substitute Teacher Assistant may assist in planning, record keeping and other classroom related duties.

• The Substitute Teacher Assistant treats colleagues and students as individuals with respect and dignity.
• Promotes and provides culturally competent client care and staff interactions that respond respectfully to the strengths and skills of diverse ethnicities, cultures and other diversity-related factors.
• Acts as a role model, assists students in completing assignments, works in small groups with students, and eats with children at meals.
• Provides leadership to staff and promotes a sense of agency with co-workers.
• Helps copy necessary worksheets for instruction, prepares bulletin boards, performs clerical and non-instructional assignments as assigned, keeps the classroom clean and organized, and assists the teacher with home visits and conferences.
• Attends all required staff meetings and activities, reviews progress in professional development and growth objectives with supervisor, and discusses issues only with designated appropriate staff.
• Responsible for understanding Mosaic Early Learning Performance Standards and local regulations and reports any suspected child/elder abuse and neglect per New Jersey's guidelines.
• Conducts self as a role model in interactions with staff, colleagues and funding sources in accordance with Center For Family Services' Code of Ethics.

• Child Development Associate (CDA) or higher, but an Associate Degree in ECE or related field is preferred
• 1 year experience in a classroom setting
• Maintains First Aid and CPR certifications
