This paid internship is for the DRPA/PATCO 2026 summer season. The hourly rate will be $19.00/hr the position is posted from January 20, 2026 to February 4, 2026 by 4:00 p.m.
Program Details and EligibilityThe DRPA/PATCO seeks students for the 2026 summer season. Eligible students must be entering a trade school in the fall of 2026 and be at least 18 years old. Applicants must meet the following criteria:

This internship is designed to provide college students with meaningful, hands-on exposure to a professional work environment. While extensive prior experience is not required, we’re looking for students who:
- Ability to write clearly
- Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks accurately and on time
- Willingness to apply trade school academic knowledge and skills to real-world assignments
- Openness to learning new concepts, tools, and processes throughout the work program
- Confidence to ask questions, seek clarification, and request feedback when needed
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Problem-solving mindset when approaching assignments
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Professional conduct, including reliability, respectful communication, and accountability
- Carpentry, concrete, welding, maintenance work
- Ben Franklin 100th Anniversary preparations

- Applicants must be 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- If you are not enrolled in a trade school, you must provide proof that you will be enrolled full-time in college or a university in Fall 2026.
- Home residence must be located within DRPA’s Port District, which includes Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties in Pennsylvania, and Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Ocean, and Salem counties in New Jersey.
Preferred:
- Trade school student in carpentry, welding, and masonry fields
Locations: Ben Franklin Bridge (BFB), Camden, NJ or Betsy Ross Bridge (BRB), Pennsauken, NJ
Work Hours: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday – Friday
