Description:
The Life Support Training Center Instructor is responsible for instructing students within their certified area, adhering to American Heart Association guidelines and Cooper University Hospital’s Life Support Training Center. The role includes setup and breakdown of instructional material, decontamination of equipment when necessary, and analysis of student performance and competency according to course requirements. Instructors teach a minimum of two courses per year within their area of expertise.
- Instruct students within the area they are certified, adhering to American Heart Association guidelines and Cooper University Hospital’s Life Support Training Center requirements.
- Set up and break down instructional materials and decontaminate equipment when necessary.
- Analyze student performance and competency according to course requirements.
- Teach a minimum of two courses per year within the instructor’s area of expertise.
- Instructors must demonstrate mastery in all skills for the courses they teach and present AHA materials correctly as outlined in the Instructor Manual and Lesson Maps.
- Instructors must test students effectively and maintain a high standard of ethics and professionalism when teaching AHA courses.
- Instructors must manage time, space, materials, and paperwork in compliance with American Heart Association guidelines.
High School diploma preferred
License/Certification Requirements- American Heart Association BLS
- Certified by the American Heart Association as an instructor in one or more of the following: ACLS or PALS
