Job Description Responsibilities
  • Help students become familiar with the Student Support Services program, campus environment, and academic expectations of the College.
  • Participation in trainings and group meetings.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with first-year and transfer students, assisting students with a smooth transition, acclimation, and a sense of belonging.
  • Serve as a resource for students new to the College.
  • Help facilitate and encourage attendance at all classes, workshops, and activities.
  • Serve as a positive role model.
  • Maintain confidentiality with any shared information.
  • Ability to work directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic and socio economic backgrounds.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Completion of one semester of coursework at Camden County College or Rutgers-Camden.
  • In good academic and student conduct standing.
  • Willingness to learn and share information about college life, student life, and campus resources.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Have a genuine desire to help their peers succeed.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
  • Demonstrates leadership potential.
  • Ability to work in a team.
