Job Description Responsibilities- Help students become familiar with the Student Support Services program, campus environment, and academic expectations of the College.
- Participation in trainings and group meetings.
- Develop and maintain relationships with first-year and transfer students, assisting students with a smooth transition, acclimation, and a sense of belonging.
- Serve as a resource for students new to the College.
- Help facilitate and encourage attendance at all classes, workshops, and activities.
- Serve as a positive role model.
- Maintain confidentiality with any shared information.
- Ability to work directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic and socio economic backgrounds.
- Completion of one semester of coursework at Camden County College or Rutgers-Camden.
- In good academic and student conduct standing.
- Willingness to learn and share information about college life, student life, and campus resources.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Have a genuine desire to help their peers succeed.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
- Demonstrates leadership potential.
