Cooper University Health Care (CUH) / Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU) invites applications for Open Faculty Position:
Division Head of Ambulatory (Adult) Psychiatry. The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at CUH/CMSRU is expanding clinical services, teaching and research programs, and population health initiatives. This is a leadership role combining clinical care with teaching, scholarly activity, services innovation and administrative leadership. Building on Cooper’s community-focused and hospital-based services and CMSRU’s mission to improve the health of underserved communities, the department plans to expand ambulatory practices in Southern New Jersey and develop a comprehensive population health–informed, integrated behavioral health program, linking with community providers in Camden and surrounding counties.
The Division Head of Ambulatory Psychiatry is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing and managing the practice operations, clinical services, and strategic initiatives of the ambulatory psychiatry division. The role includes ensuring high-quality patient care; enhancing service efficiency and clinical productivity; developing new treatment programs; teaching medical students, residents and other trainees; fostering a collaborative environment; conducting clinical research; and sharing duties with other department members.
The Division Head is expected to lead a multidisciplinary team and work closely with other clinical departments within a collaborative care framework.

Candidates should have several years of experience in clinical care and program development, hold active ACGME board certification in General Psychiatry, and be eligible for medical licensure in New Jersey.
EducationMD (Doctor of Medicine) or DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) degree.
License/CertificationNew Jersey medical license.
