Position Goals
  • Demonstrate and promote a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • To support the dental assisting program in laboratory course work.
  • To instruct students in dental assisting skills and procedures.
  • To set up and break down supplies and equipment used in the dental lab for dental assisting courses.
Essential Functions
  • Ability to work directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic and socio economic backgrounds.
  • Setting up and breaking down equipment and instruments for dental assisting labs.
  • Maintaining equipment and instruments for dental assisting labs.
  • Evaluate student's performance based on specified criteria for dental assisting skills.
  • Assist course instructors in laboratory activities.
  • Participate in teaching methodology courses.
  • Attend all federally or NJ State mandated training to include, but not limited to, right-To-Know and Blood Borne Pathogens.
  • Comply with all safety, fire and smoking regulations.
  • Complete all mandatory compliance and safety training as scheduled by Human Resources.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Certified and Registered Dental Assistant with a New Jersey license.
  • Five years' experience in the field, or the equivalent.
  • Member of the American Dental Assistants Association.
