Summary

Rutgers University–Camden seeks a Senior Administrative Assistant for the Community Leadership Center, reporting to the CLC Director, Dr. Gloria Bonilla‑Santiago. The role oversees the administrative functions of the CLC, handles confidential matters and documents, provides high‑level support to the Center Director, and ensures the smooth execution of administrative coordination. The Senior Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to unit management by organizing, coordinating, and supervising daily CLC operations and assists all units of the CLC with the coordination of programs, projects, and/or processes.

The incumbent prioritizes and oversees center work, resolves routine conflicts and issues, implements administrative guidelines and procedures, and provides oversight to issues of compliance and adherence to protocols. Responsibilities also include scheduling appointments; arranging and coordinating design and logistics for events and meetings; and completing other work consistent with a broad understanding of the mission, vision, role, and goals of the CLC.

Given the expanding global initiatives at the CLC, Spanish‑speaking proficiency is strongly preferred, along with the ability to manage complex travel arrangements. The position also supports the ongoing partnership with the LEAP Academy and requires familiarity with K‑12 school operations and the ability to support board administrative functions. The position works under general supervision, with few direct instructions, and carries out routine and non‑routine tasks with occasional review of work outputs by supervisor.

This is a grant‑funded position contingent upon the availability of continued funds.
