Overview
The position of Tax Accountant is responsible for assisting with the preparation of company federal and state tax returns. Will assure compliance with Federal, State and local tax law and regulations. Assist with various projects within the tax department. This role also requires the conduction of research and planning according to applicable tax laws and regulations.
Responsibilities- Preparation of Partnership & LLC Federal & State Income Tax Returns
- Preparation of Personal Property and State Sales Tax Returns
- Preparation of Business License Returns for various states NFI conducts business in
- Research various state tax credits
- Perform fixed asset calculations
- Must have understanding of taxable income and deductions – knowledge of multi-state apportionments
- Perform new entity registrations
- BA or BS in Accounting Required, CPA or EA is a plus
- 2+ years’ experience in tax
- Strong technology skills including expertise with Excel
- Experience with Lacerte tax software preferred, but not required
We are excited to share that the base salary range for this position is $ - Annual. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, targeted at 3%. NFI takes into consideration applicants' qualifications, experience, education, and geographic location when determining a starting rate of pay.
