Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available in a public school in the Camden Wyoming area of Delaware. This contract role starts as soon as possible and runs through June 9th, offering the opportunity to work within a supportive educational environment dedicated to meeting diverse student needs.
The ideal candidate will hold a valid Delaware Special Education Teacher of Students with Disabilities Standard Certificate and possess experience working with a variety of age groups. While the specific caseload and age group assignment are flexible, candidates with preferences are encouraged to share them during the application process. This role offers a virtual interview format for convenience and ensures a panel setting to get to know candidates thoroughly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to the needs of students with disabilities
- Collaborate with school staff and families to promote student success and inclusion
- Utilize differentiated instructional strategies to engage diverse learners
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district policies
Qualifications:
- Delaware Special Education Teacher of Students with Disabilities Standard Certificate required
- Experience working with students across various age groups preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs
