Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM

• Every other weekend schedule required

• Holiday coverage as needed

• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 on all shifts

• Minimum 2 years of experience required

• First time travelers accepted

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS

• Previous Charge RN experience preferred

• Med Host charting system experience required

• 72 hours of orientation provided

• One pre-approved time off request allowed

• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including cellulitis, CHF, pneumonia, dehydration, electrolyte imbalances, acute kidney disease, and COPD

• Skills include telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, central line blood draws, wound care, tracheostomy care, IV therapy, blood product administration, and isolation precautions

• Special procedures include NG tubes, PEG tubes, IV antibiotics, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and CPAP/BiPAP management

• Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, radiology, social services, lift teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary

This medical center operates a 15-bed medical-surgical unit providing comprehensive inpatient care for adult and geriatric populations. The facility maintains a daily census of approximately 6 patients and offers extensive interdisciplinary support services. The organization focuses on delivering quality patient care with modern charting systems and specialized procedures including wound care consultations and surgical consultations.
