Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM

• Every other weekend coverage required

• Holiday coverage as needed

• Patient ratios of 1:5-6

• Minimum 2 years of experience required

• First time travelers welcome

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS

• Previous Charge RN experience preferred

• Must have experience with Med Host charting system

• 72-hour orientation period

• One pre-approved time off allowed per contract

• Care for adult and geriatric patients with conditions including CHF, pneumonia, cellulitis, COPD, wound care, and electrolyte imbalances

• Skills required include telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, central line blood draws, tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac, IV insulin protocols, and blood product administration

• Special procedures include NG tubes, PEG tubes, IV antibiotics, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and CPAP/BiPAP management

• Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, radiology, social services, lift teams, and pharmacy

This medical center operates a 15-bed medical surgical unit providing comprehensive inpatient care for adult and geriatric patients. The facility maintains a daily census of approximately 6 patients and offers interdisciplinary support services to ensure quality patient care. The organization focuses on treating a variety of medical conditions including cardiac, respiratory, and wound care cases with access to specialized consultations and advanced medical procedures.
