Night Registered Veterinary Nurse – Part-Time | North London
Up to £37,000 FTE | Only 30 hour p/week | 24-Hour Veterinary Hospital | Emergency & Critical Care
Are you an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse seeking a night role that offers genuine clinical responsibility, variety, and the opportunity to make real decisions when it matters most?
This is an exciting opportunity to join a 24-hour veterinary hospital in North London
, where night RVNs play a pivotal role in emergency care, overnight hospitalisation, and critical patient outcomes. You’ll work as part of a highly skilled overnight team, managing cases autonomously while being fully supported by senior clinicians and advanced facilities.
- Part-time night position: 30 hours per week (annualised hours)
- Full-time equivalent salary up to £37,000, dependent on experience (pro‑rata applied)
- Overnight shifts within a structured rota offering flexibility and extended time off. As a Night RVN, you will take ownership of:
- Emergency triage and stabilisation
- In-patient and post-operative care
- Monitoring critical and medical cases overnight
- Supporting emergency procedures and urgent interventions
- Delivering high-quality nursing care with confidence and autonomy
- Diverse emergency and ECC caseload, including surgical emergencies and intensive nursing cases
- Annualised hours allow you to swap night blocks for longer periods of leave
- Work alongside a dedicated overnight team (Veterinary Surgeon, RVN, Patient Care Assistant)
- Strong clinical support from experienced senior vets with emergency and critical care expertise
- Advanced hospital facilities, including CT, ultrasound, digital radiography, and emergency theatres
- Involvement in nurse consultations, handovers, and clinical protocol development
