A well‑established consultancy with a growing portfolio of building safety and remediation projects is currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their Birmingham team. With a strong presence across the Midlands and beyond, this consultancy is delivering some of the most complex recladding and façade safety projects in the region.
This is a great opportunity for a Senior Project Manager with a solid background in remediation and cladding to take the lead on meaningful, safety‑critical schemes. The successful Senior Project Manager will join a supportive team that values technical excellence, clear communication, and proactive project leadership.
The Senior Project Manager's roleThe Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the full delivery of external wall and cladding remediation schemes, from initial assessment and EWS1 investigation through to completion on site. Acting as a key client contact, the Senior Project Manager will lead multi‑disciplinary teams and manage all aspects of programme, cost, and compliance.
Key responsibilities- Leading remediation and recladding projects across Birmingham and the Midlands
- Managing consultant and contractor teams to ensure building safety compliance
- Overseeing fire safety investigations, procurement, and contract administration
- Reporting on project progress, risks, and cost control
- Liaising with clients, residents, and local authorities
- Supporting junior team members and contributing to best practice
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a consultancy or client‑side PM role
- Proven background in cladding, façade or building safety remediation projects
- Strong understanding of EWS1 and relevant building safety regulations
- Degree qualified in a construction‑related subject
- Chartered or progressing towards chartership (RICS, APM, CIOB)
- Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills
- £50,000 - £75,000
- Hybrid working – minimum 3 days in office or on site
- Chartership support (RICS, APM, CIOB)
