About The DepartmentThe Centre for Anthropology and Mental Health Research in Action (CAMHRA) is a globally oriented Centre of excellence for cutting‑edge anthropological research, education, and public engagement in mental health.
About the RoleThe role seeks a Postdoctoral Researcher with an anthropology background to contribute ethnographic work streams for COLIVE‑MH, the Wellcome Trust funded collaborative platform for mental health measurement.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing an equity, diversity and inclusion policy for lived‑experience voices in COLIVE‑MH.
- Creating a typology of psychiatric measure impacts.
- Project‑managing the ethnographic sub‑team and coaching lived‑experience fellows.
- Reporting to the Principal Investigators and ensuring timely service delivery.
- Co‑producing systematic reviews on PHQ‑9, GAD‑7, WHODAS‑12 and coordinating the RCADS review.
Qualifications:
- PhD in anthropology or related discipline, with post‑doctoral training preferable.
- Experience with ethnographic methods, mental‑health research, and public engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with lived‑experience partners.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- For UK candidates: eligibility to work in the UK (or limited leave) and full employment rights.
Grade G7 – £43,297.57 to £50,562.57 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. 35 hours per week. Fixed‑term to 30 Nov 2027.
