Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant - Camden - Full Time

Protocol Education is working in partnership with welcoming and inclusive primary schools across Camden who are looking for dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants to join their teams.

As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning, build confidence and feel included within the classroom environment.

You may work on a 1:1 basis or with small groups
, supporting pupils with their learning, emotional wellbeing and social development throughout the school day.

Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you will help implement individual learning strategies, adapt activities where required and provide consistent support to help pupils reach their full potential.

This role would suit someone patient, resilient and proactive, who understands that progress looks different for every child and celebrates the small wins along the way.

This is a full-time position during school hours, Monday to Friday
, allowing you to be fully involved in the school day and make a consistent difference to the pupils you support.

• Experience supporting children with SEN in a primary school setting
• Confidence supporting pupils with needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH or speech and language difficulties
• A calm, nurturing and positive approach
• Ability to follow individual support plans or EHCP targets
• Strong communication skills and a team-focused mindset
• A genuine commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
