Teacher Active is working closely with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Kentish Town to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their large and well-established Special Educational Needs provision.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and wants to make a meaningful impact in a supportive school environment.

The Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support pupils with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties

Work 1:1 and in small groups within the SEN provision and mainstream classrooms

Assist the class teacher and SENCO in implementing EHCP targets

Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and emotional regulation

Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate :

Has experience working with children with SEN (school-based or alternative settings)

Is patient, empathetic, and proactive

Can work effectively as part of a team

Has a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development

Holds (or is willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS
