Long Term Futures are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Camden to appoint a KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with ASD, ADHD and emotional needs. All support is classroom based, working closely with the class teacher and SEN team to help pupils access learning, regulate their emotions and engage positively in lessons. The school is well connected, with easy access via Camden Town, Kentish Town and Chalk Farm stations, as well as multiple local bus routes.
This role is ideal for a graduate looking to gain valuable SEN experience or an experienced Teaching Assistant ready to progress in a long-term setting.
About the Role
The role involves supporting KS1 pupils with Autism, ADHD and emotional needs within the classroom, using positive behaviour strategies, consistent routines and tailored support to help children remain engaged and confident. You will work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO, contributing to a calm and structured learning environment that supports both academic and emotional development.

The successful candidate will receive £105-£125 per day, paid weekly, in a long-term role with the opportunity to move into a permanent position. The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children with ASD, ADHD or emotional needs, either in a school or a transferable setting, and will demonstrate a calm, patient and proactive approach. Strong communication skills are essential, and speech and language experience would be highly beneficial. Applications are welcomed from graduates with backgrounds in psychology, speech and language, youth work, mental health or related fields, as well as experienced Teaching Assistants looking to progress.
