We’re looking for a warm, confident and experienced Nursery Room Leader to join a welcoming nursery setting within a highly regarded independent school in the Borough of Camden. This is a lovely opportunity for an Early Years professional who enjoys leading a room, supporting colleagues and creating a nurturing environment where young children can thrive.
The nursery provides high-quality care and education within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), offering children a safe, stimulating and child-centred space to explore, learn and grow in confidence.
The Role
Lead the day-to-day running of your nursery room
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
Support, guide and motivate Nursery Practitioners within your room
Create a warm, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
Ensure safeguarding procedures are consistently followed and children’s wellbeing is prioritised
Observe, assess and track children’s progress, maintaining accurate records
Build strong, positive relationships with children and their families
Communicate regularly with parents regarding development, achievements and next steps
Work closely with the wider Early Years team to maintain high standards across the setting
Who We’re Looking For
Level 3 Early Years qualification or above (essential)
Strong knowledge of EYFS principles and child development
Previous experience as a Nursery Room Leader or in a senior Early Years role (preferred)
Confident leadership skills with the ability to support and motivate a team
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A warm, patient and nurturing approach
A genuine passion for Early Years education
Commitment to providing a safe, positive and inspiring environment
