About Camden
Camden is changing on the inside to make life better for everyone. Our residents and communities are at the heart of everything we do. We’re home to the most important conversations happening today and we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind. Here’s where you can help decide a better future for us all.
We are looking to appoint a dynamic assessing supervising social worker for our Fostering Team. You will have responsibility for undertaking the role of Kinship assessments and Foster Carers supervision, support and development, training, evaluate and review of foster carers who are offering placements to Children Looked After. This is a collaborative role of both kinship and supervising; you will also be required to participate in the Fostering Team’s duty rota over a number of days each month.
In addition to this you will have the opportunity to participate in various other team activities such as delivering support groups, skills to foster program and training to carers.
We use Camden’s Relational Practice Framework, a relationship-based practice, where relationships are at the heart of what we do. It is based on strong relationships between social workers and families and informed by their experiences. Being relational means Camden children, young people, parents and carers, networks, residents and communities experience a workforce that is curious, kind, courageous, honest and collaborative. This service has an Ofsted rating of OUTSTANDING.
The post holder will be fulfilling the duties and responsibilities for the fostering Out of Hours Service. Post Holder to have previous Fostering experience. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS. Camden also offers the DBS update service.
