HGV Class 1 Driver

Overview

We’re currently hiring Multisite HGV Class 1 Drivers on a temporary ongoing basis for our busy depots in Cambuslang and Bellshill.

This role involves a mix of trunking - transporting to NDCs and RDCs and shop deliveries. MMID is part of a well-established, internationally recognized dairy company, operating a modern and well-maintained fleet.

Immediate starts available for successful candidates following a completed assessment and induction. There is also the potential for a permanent contract after 12 weeks of continuous work.

Shifts available:

• DAYS start 05:00 onwards; NIGHTS start 23:00 onwards
• Any days of the week to work, 2, 3, 4 or 5 shifts available

Day pay rates:

• Monday – Friday £16.63 (overtime after 47.5hrs £18.71)
• Saturday £18.71
• Sunday and Bank Holidays £24.95

Nights pay rates:

• Monday – Friday £19.00 (overtime after 47.5hrs £21.38)
• Saturday £21.38
• Sunday and Bank Holidays £28.50

30-minute break deducted per shift only.

What we are looking for:

• In date DIGI and CPC card
• Enthusiastic, reliable, helpful and organised individual.
• Willing to work weekends.
• Motivated and open to learn new skills.
• Demonstrates an excellent attitude to work.

Your role:

• Driving within the WTD and EU regs and rules.
• Prepping vehicles for delivery.
• Completing vehicle checks.
• Refuelling vehicles.
• The Driver must ensure that the highest levels of customer service are maintained on the round and orders are fulfilled on time and in full.
