due to our continued success and rapid growth an excellent opportunity has arisen for a trainee site operative based at our clydebridge asphalt and concrete depot. The successful candidate should be customer focused, reliable, well organised and be able to work well as part of a team in a busy quarry environment.

• operate static and mobile plant machinery safely and efficiently
• conduct daily inspections and maintain accurate records
• perform maintenance and minor repairs within your competence
• refuel and clean machinery in line with manufacturer and company standards as part of the ims accreditations
• use front‑end loader for material movement, training provided
• report defects and near misses to site management
• uphold site safety standards
• travel to nearby sites may be required (allowances provided if applicable)
• assist with material ordering, inventory management
• responsible for the efficient and accurate running of the weighbridge function and all its related aspects
• assist in the operation of the site weighbridge in line with company policies, procedures and legislation
• work closely with other business departments to support the business needs
• deal with customers directly and on the telephone
• follow and enforce site acceptance procedures for imported aggregates
• clerical and administration duties
