due to our continued success and rapid growth an excellent opportunity has arisen for a trainee site operative based at our clydebridge asphalt and concrete depot. The successful candidate should be customer focused, reliable, well organised and be able to work well as part of a team in a busy quarry environment.

key responsibilities- operate static and mobile plant machinery safely and efficiently
- conduct daily inspections and maintain accurate records
- perform maintenance and minor repairs within your competence
- refuel and clean machinery in line with manufacturer and company standards as part of the ims accreditations
- use front‑end loader for material movement, training provided
- report defects and near misses to site management
- uphold site safety standards
- travel to nearby sites may be required (allowances provided if applicable)
- assist with material ordering, inventory management
- responsible for the efficient and accurate running of the weighbridge function and all its related aspects
- assist in the operation of the site weighbridge in line with company policies, procedures and legislation
- work closely with other business departments to support the business needs
- deal with customers directly and on the telephone
- follow and enforce site acceptance procedures for imported aggregates
- clerical and administration duties

- a willingness to work in a fast‑paced outdoor environment.
- willingness to work regular overtime to meet the needs of the business, and has a flexible approach to working hours.
- be in possession of a full driving license.
